Mobility RampsI work at a local school and I have been asked to look at the cost of installing
Mobility Rampsthroughout the site. The reason that we are going to install
Mobility Rampsthis year is that we have had quite an influx of disabled students who will be starting at the school in September and, obviously, we need to make sure that the site is accessible for every one of them. I think installing
Mobility Rampsis a really good idea anyway and I know that lots of new buildings do this as a matter of course so that, should the necessity arise, the site is fully wheelchair accessible. This is a part of my job that I really enjoy as I know that what I do will really make a difference to the lives of the students attending the school. It really makes my day rewarding to see that I have helped a student attain something, however small that might be. Although sometimes the job is quite difficult as a lot of the students can be very difficult to deal with at times, the times when I feel as though I have achieved a breakthrough with a particular person far outweigh the hard times.
